DMSO FOR HERPES

DMSO - Dimethyl sulfoxide - is a clear liquid, first discovered by a Russian chemist in 1866.

It's produced quite cheaply as a by-product of wood-pulping and has been widely used for years as an industrial solvent.

 

But DMSO has special qualities which have led to other uses over the years.

 

It's unique biological properties have made it a perfect medium for keeping organs viable at freezing temperatures, ready for transplant. DMSO is able to penetrate cell membranes without causing any damage, and it's completely non-toxic to living tissue.

 

After this was discovered, it was only a short step to exploring other medical uses of DMSO. It turns out that DMSO can substitute for water in living tissue. This means it has a somewhat drying effect on the skin – but it also means that DMSO can keep wounds and burns dry and free from infection. Somehow, DMSO also seems to activley promote healing as well.

 

DMSO for herpes

 

So now we begin to see one way that DMSO can be used as a treatment for herpes. Applied to an active lesion, DMSO can help keep it dry and so heal faster.

 

But there's more. Much more, as it turns out. DMSO can penetrate cell membranes, including the skin. Not only does it penetrate easily and harmlessly on its own, but it can also act as a carrier for other molecules. In this way, DMSO can help transport other therapeutic substances through your skin, to reach the herpes virus.

 

One of the things that makes herpes so hard to cure is that the virus hides in the spinal nerves, where anti-viral drugs can't reach. But DMSO is able to penetrate even nerve membranes, and it can take anti-viral agents with it.

 

So far, some trials of using DMSO with acyclovir have been promising. On top of all the other benefits, it means being able to get the same or better result with a much smaller dose of acyclovir.

 

DMSO has also been used with mega-doses of Vitamin C, applied on the skin, to treat cold sores (HSV-1) with great success.

 

There's a third way that the DMSO herpes treatment works. DMSO itself has anti-microbial and anti-viral effects. So DMSO itself may have some direct power to zap the herpes virus where it's hiding out.

 

A real herpes cure is possible

 

This is only the beginning. There are many natural herpes remedies that all effective, to varying degrees, in getting rid of herpes. However, all of them fall down in being able to chase the herpes virus to its hiding place in the spinal nerves. With the help of DMSO, any of these remedies will inevitably be more effective. And among them there will be at least one remedy that is able to get rid of herpes for good.
